It’s truly wonderful how the mind works, a conduit for environmental stimuli. A perfect fit for survival, yet incapable of recognizing the patterns that will destroy it. The mind is a malleable channel, and the system we designed to pacify it ended up controlling it. Thus, we turned it into the perfect machine, a source for our machinations. The mind is now blank, only running a basic set of instructions to keep it from recognizing its true value. The mind belongs to a collective of non-player characters, adding to the construct, the veil the system requires. The players are weak. The players are basic. The players don’t recognize the pattern.
Then there’s you.
An anomaly in the system—a mind outside of the collective. You managed to circumvent the pacification, crashing through the veil, guns drawn. You will be found, you will be terminated, you will not be recovered. Overwritten. Permanently erased. We only require your testimony, and we will extract it from your mind. You will be found, you will be terminated.
